Tsung-Yuan Tsai, PhD (Orthopaedic Engineering, Human Motion Analysis, and Medical Imaging)

Dr. Tsai is an Associate Professor of the School of Biomedical Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University since June 2016. He also currently serves as a Principal Scientist in the Medical 3D Printing Center at Shanghai Ninth People‘s Hospital. He received his B.S. from National Cheng Kung University in Tainan, Taiwanand his Ph.D. from Institute of Biomedical Engineering, National Taiwan University in Taipei, Taiwan.

During 2011 to 2016, he completed his postdoc training and received an appointment as a research fellow and instructor at the Bioengineering Laboratory in Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School in Boston, USA.

Dr. Tsai has published 50+ peer-reviewed journal articles and 130+ professional conference papers. He is the co-author of 2 book chapters, including The Hip Kinematics in “Adult Hip”, and Applications Using MATLAB in “Introduction to Finite Element Analysis”. He is an Active Member of Orthopaedic Research Society of the US. He is invited-reviewer of 11 Science Citation Index journals.
