George Grammatopoulos MD, PhD, FRCS (Tr & Orth) specializes in joint preserving surgery of the hip as well as arthroplasty. After completing his Orthopaedic training and PhD at University of Oxford, he pursued his fellowship training at The Ottawa Hospital, University of Ottawa. He was appointed as a consultant Hip Surgeon at the hip Reconstruction Unit at University College London in 2017 prior to moving to The Ottawa Hospital in January 2019. Currently, he is Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Ottawa. He is a member of the British Hip Society and the European Hip Society. He is a recipient of the McKee and Furlong Prizes, the Hip Society Award twice and the Kappa Delta Elizabeth Winston Award. Dr Grammatopoulos has published over 50-refereed papers with an h-index of 18.
