This focused issue on “Early Osteoarthritis: Definition, Pathogenesis, Diagnosis, Management and Prevention” is edited by Dr. Yuji Uchio, from Department of Orthopaedics, Shimane University, School of Medicine, Shimane, Japan.

The purpose of this issue is to present the definition, pathogenesis, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of the early KOA. We hope that this particular issue can stimulate research minds among the readers, to define, diagnose, manage, and prevent the early KOA.
